Hormone therapy for women

What is hormone therapy for women?

Your hormones shift through every season of life: after having a baby, through perimenopause and menopause, and with conditions like PMOS (formerly PCOS) or a thyroid imbalance. When they do, the symptoms are real. Exhaustion, broken sleep, mood changes, brain fog and a body that suddenly feels unfamiliar are not something you simply have to push through.

Hormone therapy helps restore balance under careful medical supervision. Stephany Reese, APRN, FNP-C, starts by listening, then uses comprehensive labs to understand what is happening. Depending on your results and goals, your plan may include bioidentical estrogen, progesterone or testosterone, using an approach grounded in her WorldLink training, plus thyroid support when needed. Medications are prescribed through our partner pharmacies, and your plan is adjusted as your body responds.

Grounded in research

  • The Menopause Society's 2022 position statement concludes that for healthy women younger than 60, or within 10 years of menopause, the benefits of hormone therapy generally outweigh the risks for treating hot flashes and preventing bone loss (The Menopause Society).
  • The Global Consensus Position Statement on testosterone therapy for women supports its use for postmenopausal women with low sexual desire that causes distress (Global Consensus, 2019).
  • In the SWAN study, the rate of fat gain doubled and lean mass began to decline at the start of the menopause transition, one reason we look at hormones and weight together (JCI Insight, SWAN study).

How it works

What to expect, step by step

01

Complimentary consultation

Share what you've been experiencing, in person or virtually. We take the time to listen, and every question is welcome. In the office, we draw your labs at the same visit.

02

Comprehensive labs

Your labs look at estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, thyroid, cortisol and other markers. Results are typically back within 48 hours, so your plan is based on your results.

03

Your personalized plan

Stephany walks you through your results, explains your options in plain language, including hormone pellets, and shares clear pricing before anything begins.

04

Ongoing support

Regular labs and check-ins let us make small, careful adjustments as your body responds, with 24/7 support for members.

Typical timeline: Day 1 consultation and labs in our office · results within 48 hours · Day 3 review your results and plan · medication ships the next day, so you could start in as little as 5 days. Doing a virtual consult or live farther away? Get your labs at a Labcorp near you, which usually adds a day or two.

“She takes regular labs to keep close watch on how my body is responding to the hormones and makes small adjustments each month to get me dialed in to my optimal levels… My energy is great, my sleep is so much better, night sweats are gone…”

“If you are going through menopause, you need Stephany! She took time to listen, explain what is going on internally and what to look for, and through this aging process- it's been so much smoother than my friends have endured.”

Amy R. · Google review

★★★★★

“She really listens and doesn't dismiss any concerns. I felt validated despite other doctors saying my hormones levels weren't off enough to do anything about even though I was having so many symptoms saying otherwise… I sleep so much better now and have better energy all day…”

FAQ

Questions about hormone therapy for women

I've been told my labs are normal. Can you still help?

Often, yes. Many women come to us after being told their numbers are "in range" while they still don't feel like themselves. We look at your symptoms alongside comprehensive labs, not a single value, and talk through what the full picture means for you.

Which hormones do you prescribe?

Depending on your labs and goals, your plan may include bioidentical estrogen, progesterone, testosterone and thyroid support, given as creams, injections, oral medication or hormone pellets. Medications are prescribed through our partner pharmacies, and Stephany explains why each one is recommended.

Is hormone therapy safe?

For healthy women younger than 60 or within 10 years of menopause, The Menopause Society reports that the benefits generally outweigh the risks for many women. Every treatment has risks, so we review your personal and family history, discuss them openly and monitor you with regular labs.

Do you treat PMOS (formerly PCOS) and thyroid concerns?

Yes. PMOS (formerly PCOS) and thyroid imbalances can cause many of the same symptoms as other hormone changes. Our labs help sort out what's driving how you feel, and your plan is built around those results.

How soon will I feel a difference?

Everyone responds differently. Some women notice better sleep and fewer hot flashes within the first few weeks, while finding your best balance can take a few months of small adjustments.

Are prescription refills included with a membership?

Yes. Hormone memberships include prescription refills, adjustments and any new prescriptions you need. The medications themselves are paid at the pharmacy of your choice. See memberships →
