About MOXI Fractional Laser

Sun damage, uneven skin tone, fine lines, and rough texture are some of the most common skin concerns our patients deal with—and MOXI® is one of the most effective solutions we offer. Published clinical research on fractional laser resurfacing supports what we see in practice: MOXI’s 1927nm thulium fiber laser gently creates controlled micro-zones of thermal energy in the skin, triggering the body’s natural healing response and producing fresh, healthy skin cell turnover.

What makes MOXI particularly special is its versatility. It works on all skin types and tones—including those that are not candidates for more aggressive laser treatments—and it requires minimal downtime. Most patients experience mild redness and a “sand paper” texture for up to 10 days post-treatment as the MOXI MENDS (Microscopic Endodermal Necrotic Debris) shed and reveal fresh skin underneath. Results include brighter, more even, and more radiant skin with noticeable improvement in pigmentation and texture.

MOXI is often described as a “prejuvenation” treatment—ideal for patients in their 20s and 30s who want to prevent and correct early signs of aging before they become significant. It’s also an excellent annual maintenance treatment for mature skin. A series of 3 to 4 treatments, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, produces the most comprehensive results.

For patients who also want to address skin laxity and firming alongside their tone and texture concerns, MOXI pairs beautifully with our SkinTyte skin tightening treatment—a combination that allows you to resurface and tighten in the same treatment plan for full facial rejuvenation.

FAQ

MOXI FAQs

Does MOXI hurt?

We apply numbing cream first. Most patients feel warmth and a prickling sensation that's very tolerable, and the treatment itself takes about 45–60 minutes including prep.

How much downtime is there?

Expect mild redness and a sandpaper-like feel for about 3–5 days as treated skin flakes away. Most people return to normal routines right away.

How many treatments will I need?

Many patients see the best results with a series of 3–4 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart. We'll build a plan around your goals.

Is MOXI safe for my skin type?

MOXI is gentle enough for a wide range of skin types and tones. We'll review your skin, history and any recent sun exposure before treatment.

Can I combine MOXI with other treatments?

Yes. MOXI is often stacked with BBL to address both pigment and texture, or paired with SkinTyte when firming matters too.
